Amsterdam during January and February is not the prettiest city (unless it is snowing which it almost never is) so we decided to go somewhere sunny. That somewhere was Thailand followed up by a quick stop in Dubai to see family.
Our trip lasted in total 3 weeks and out Itinerary was: Phuket, Krabi, Koh Tao, Koh Samui, Bangkok and Dubai.
As out main gear we brought our Drone (DJI Mini 3 Pro) for which we had to get permits and insurances in advance, our Sony and the new pal in town, the Fujifilm X100V. As this time there were no film cameras around we were blasting through photos. In total we took over 4000 photos and a large majority was on the X100V. In our defense, everything was so picturesque and interesting.
I have selected some photos from the X100V to showcase here.
Most of them remained unedited (besides perspective correction and slight crops). 98% of them were shoot with the Portra 400 recipe. My god is this camera ever pleasant to use. No edits required. The photos are noisy, yes, but is not the vomit-inducing digital noise but rather it's pleasing to the point where I started embracing it and intentionally underexposing photos to get a more filmic look.
This is hands down, this is the camera I have enjoyed using the most. Ever.
(Also to clarify, not all photos have been taking by me, some of them have been taken with my fiancee as we have been passing the cameras around)
